My ties to Hesperus

Hesperus Mountain is a sacred mountain to the Navajo people or Dine'. I've worked for the Navajo people at IHS hospitals for the last 13 years. I live in Cortez, CO. Hesperus was the very first western mountain I summited.  My son and summited Hesperus 9/4/16.  I was proud to share his first real mountaineering experience.
