Idagrotte is an interesting cave in the SE side of Frienstein. It has two mouths and is shaped like a horseshoe. It would be an ideal place for a bivouac but overnighting there is forbidden by the national park authority.
! The green trail, which on the above map ends at the spring, continues further east towards Idagrotte and then along Obere Affensteinpromenade.
