love this viewi climbed over 20 peaks when i worked in the park in 2001 but this route was the most amazing thing i did that entire summer. i couldn't stop staring at these mountains (except when we had to stare at our feet)

Lithoid CuspEvery time someone from Glacier is considering naming their child after some element in the park I always chimed in with my suggestion they name the child Lithoid Cusp.

Perfect DayEvery day I think about Mount Merritt. I want this on my wall. When I went there was haze from fires. I will try earlier in the season this summer.

Lithoid CuspThe Lithoid Cusp has been climbed--in 2003, by a fellow named Steve who worked at the Park Cafe. I don't remember Steve's last name, but he was a very accomplished technical climber. It was a single-day, solo ascent, in and out through the Belly River, although I know he slept for a spell on the ranger station porch before trudging the last six miles out.
