KV Hiker Baker Peak 05-25-2009
This is a view of Baker Peak, and Baker Point taken from Sunday Peak on 12-06-2008. You can use the same trailhead for both though I didn't. I parked by the ridge for Baker, and then drove the short distance to the parking area for Baker Point.Baker Peak (7926') had an elevation gain of about 500 feet, and a round trip distance of 2 miles. We went cross country up the ridgeline to the summit which is at the end of a series of false peaks. There were lots of great views of the Upper Kern River Valley from the summit, and we took a few minutes to eat while we were there.
