Overview
Mt Eleazar. Massada Park Ma’ale Eleazar (Mount Eleazar) is a part of the National Park Massada located on the east edge of the Judaean Desert on the bank of the Dead Sea.
In historical events that took place here about 2000 years ago Ma’ale Eleazar was very significant for Roman troops because it is very close and a little bit higher then Massada and it’s top is a very good Massada fortress view point.
In our days Ma’ale Eleazar has not been “improved” as much as Massada was and it is easy to imagine that contemporary routes to the summit are just the same routes as Roman soldiers used 2000 years ago.
