Took gear never used just crampoons and ice axes, two of us soloed up and down, was ice the whole way. A fun alpine route . During the climb it was a cooling off about every 45 min. clouds would recycle back and cool us off.

Meeker Ridge route
Long, but fun day above treeline from the Horse Creek TH. Crossing from Meeker Ridge to the Mt. Meeker summit was a lot of fun.
Climbed Meeker via the Loft route and then headed across the Loft and tried unsuccessfully to find Clarks Arrow. Got to the base of the Homestretch, but headed down via the Keyhole route to inclement weather.
Snow had begun to collect in Loft, and ice was melting down the gully. Some snow and ice on the ledges just beneath the Loft, but these could be navigated or avoided (though I was very cautious doing so). Went in afternoon because forecast indicated high winds in morning. Left TH at 1pm and reached Meeker summit at 4:15. Winds were light with clear skies. Also made the traverse east to the eastern "summit". Not as bad as I'd imagined, but of course rock was dry and winds low. Descended and went off the back of the Loft for the Longs route. Reached top of Longs at 6:20pm. Thank you weather service for alerting me to the weather window! I had been chased down from the end of the Narrows the previous weekend, and it was nice to return in optimal conditions.
What a beautiful and interesting route! Gets you away from the usual Longs Peak crowd. Fun and "adventurous" climbing up the loft (stay on route to keep it at class 3... we made a few class 4 moves- oops)! Large boulder REACH for Meeker's summit (at 5'9'' you'd think I'm tall enough for these things... could use a couple of inches!). Headed down Keplinger's coulier, up Longs (repeat summit), and down the Keyhole route. Great fun!
Went up with Chris Gerber and Alan, ascended via the Loft then made the full circuit of the Radical Slam, including the requisite 50 pushups.

three beauties
6/3/17- dreamweaver with adam. unbelievably incredible conditions, primest of prime! we climbed four icefalls and circumnavigated a fifth due to thin, unstable ice conditions. great, great day! i should climb this route every year!
5/31/14- dreamweaver with emily and heather. fine alpine route with a thrilling AI2 crux, one of the better lines i've experienced in colorado.
1/29/11- long talus slog via the iron gates. terrain between the two summits was tricky, yet very rewarding once i figured out the answer. front range winter centennial finisher!
8/25/07- climbed the loft with jamie and her uncle chris. the wind was rocking higher on the mountain and was completely unbearable on the loft, so we changed our plan from longs to meeker. interesting little summit ridge!

What a dream.
Fun climb on Dreamweaver with Jon N, Chris H, and John F. Great conditions, a little less snow than 2 wks ago, but longer ice, and nicer approach. 4-way free solo was exciting. Nice work guys!

Instead of Longs
During an attempt at Longs using the Loft Route, we turned back and did the Meeker summit instead. We had all previously climbed Longs via the standard route so we weren't too disappointed.
