Nice view but not Williamson......
When I think of Mt. Williamson, I think of the spectacular views from the summit of 14er with the same name. However, still nice view north into the desert and worth the easy hike.

Great Day!
Hiked up from Islip Saddle. Great views abound from Williamson summit. Did 4 other peaks same day: Mt. Akawie, Winston Peak, Mount Mooney and Mount Sally.
Dad and I climbed Williamson along with Mt. Akawie, Winston Peak, Mount Mooney, and Mount Sally. A long day for us..

Nice hike on a nice day. Big ol rattlesnake right by the beginning of the trail near the highway. Thank god there's a breeze up there or we would have cooked.

Mount Windy
Very windy through some sections of the trail, enough to affect my balance a bit. Overall, this was a very simple hike. Brought the dog, had some lunch up top, and enjoyed the amazing views (even though it was very foggy/overcast down below, which made for a sea of white below us to the west).

Islip Saddle
Run by, went over the mountain on the PCT trail on my way to Pasadena. Not quite as grand as the other Williamson in CA.

From Islip Saddle
Another deep marine layer day. Clouds to the west and a nice view across the desert to the east.
Done this one via the Pleasant View ridge route. Twice coming from the Pallett direction and once via Williamson. Check out the plane crash on the right after you leave the first saddle after you leave Williamson on the ridge. Also the register is on the second bump to the west not the traditional summit.

From Islip Saddle
The parking lot was full of hunters, but the only people I saw on this hike were the guys in the glider who kept buzzing the summit when I was up there. Wasn't sure which bump is highest, so I tagged them all. Summit register is on the second bump. A bit smoky and hazy in all directions, but great weather and very worthwhile hike.

Long day in the San Gabriels
Had to park over 4mi down the road West from Islip saddle. Hiked the PCT up to Williamson, then down to Islip Saddle, then over to Mt. Islip. Descended to Little Jimmy, then walked back on SR2 back to the car.

Not as good as Islip, but less frequentedWent here a long time ago. A good summit ridge. I'm still not exactly sure which bump is the highest, they all look higher when you are on them.
