Utah's Best
Climbed with my wife and son. First time for both of them, although I had climbed it twice in the mid/late 90's. Timp is awsome! Waterfalls, mountain goats, wildflowers, snow sliding, you get it all! Every time we've ascended Timpooneke and descended to Aspen Grove.

Mount Timpanogos
What a beautiful hike from the Timpooneke Trailhead. I followed the advice on many forums and avoided the weekend. Found a nice mid-70s day on Wednesday in early September. Got to the trailhead around 8am (not too early) and made it up and down in a shade under 7 hours including time at the summit and time for lunch. It was chilly and breezy at the top but perfect hiking weather overall. Some of the best scenery around!

Great Mountain
Took the Timpooneke Trail and parking was a nightmare. If possible never climb this mountain on a weekend; trail was crowded. Views were still amazing.

First Time
Made the long hike via Timpooneke Trailhead. Was definitely worth the hike up to see Timp Basin and the views from the summit.

Traverse
Climbed it as part of the Timpanogos Ridge Traverse. Beautiful views from the top, well worth the effort, I was going to hit South Timpanogos and The Shoulder but unfortunately I had commitments I had to get to definitely next time, but at least the glissading down the glacier was fun.

Have now climbed Timp via five different routes. Ginsu Ridge in March, Aspen Grove, Timpanooke, West face via North Summit, and West Face directly to summit.

Done!
Sneaked Timp in before the cold weather hit. UP #6 in Utah for me. Two left. It was very crowded, even in the late season and as a result I've had better times on other peaks.

Long one!
Long distance, but easy hiking ... Via Aspen Grove. Even during the week, lots of people. Wouldn't want to do this on a weekend. Beautiful approach and saw a moose in the willows near the TH. Climbed with RB.

Nice hike -- very crowded lot, even on a Friday at 6AM. This is a very popular mountain!

What a great hike! The views were outstanding. We started up at 6:30 a.m., and we saw a lot of people on the trail--some who had started hiking around midnight--but it never felt too congested. The temperature was perfect, and there was the whisper of a light, cool wind to keep us comfortable. We had a great time! Up and back in 7.5 hrs.
What an awesome hike. So many waterfalls and beautiful wild flowers along the Aspen Grove trail. I'd definitely recommend glissading from the south ridge to Emerald Lake- faster and more fun. A+, Timp. Great trail running, too.

THE BEST DAY
Finally got the chance to mount this gorgeous lady since moving to Utah almost two years ago. Headed up via Aspen Grove. Stopped at Emerald Lake so my friend could do a naked backflip. We also saw a heard of mountain goats ambling about on the cliff face below South Timp, sending rocks cascading down. After summiting, we took the ridge toward the saddle between Timp + South Timp and glissaded back down to the lake, where upon the rest of us jumped in. Got off the mountain just in time to miss a storm that had rolled in!

Great first climb
Hiked Timp from the Aspen Grove side last June. Great time, but still had to contend with some snow. It was easier going up due to the snow still being frozen from the night before, and a little cumbersome going down. Saw many mountain goats, and had a marmot kick a rock down on me as I approached the saddle. After a few choice words, I continued on and made the summit.
Ammon Hatch, Jason Larsen, Kevin Larsen, Crystal Roberts, Dallin Hunter, Gavin I-don't-know-his-last-name and I climbed Timpanogos via the Timpooneke Trail. Ammon and I did this approximately three-and-a-half days after we climbed Lone Peak. Words to the wise: If your knee hurts after doing Lone Peak, don't climb Timpanogos four days later. You'll feel really hardcore at the time, but also really crummy for months to come.

Everest Ridge
Started at 10 pm on Friday with several members of the Utah Climbing Club. Summited Saturday morning. Awesome time up the left side of the Hillary Step.
Started at the Timpooneke trailhead around 5:30am and made it to the summit under clear blue skies around 8:00. Stunning views complement this downright awesome hike and helped make for a memorable experience.
