Nimrod Trailhead
This Trailhead gives access into the interior of Central and Southern Zones of the Great Bear Wilderness. The mountains featured on this page are available for
LONG Day Climbs with some serious elevation gains.
Perhaps it is best to consider making most of these peaks a multi-day trip.

Getting to the Area:
The Nimrod Trailhead is located approximately ½ mile east of where U.S. Highway 2 passes through Glacier National Park. There is adequate parking at Nimrod. This trailhead is a major entry point into the lower portion of the Great Bear Wilderness and the Middle Fork of the Flathead River corridor leads to Schaffer Meadow as well as the Bob Marshall Wilderness.
The elevation at the Nimrod Trailhead is 3,980 feet above sea level.
