Approach
The hike starts at the Bow Falls Parking Lot below the Banff Springs Hotel. Walk across th bridge and to the end of the hole (golf) that is to your right. Sneak across the course to a main trail, the size of a car. This is the Spray River Trail.
Hike up the trail for about 20 minutes, keeping an eye open for a signed trail that leads off to the left in the trees.
Route Description
Follow the trail up.
You'll get to a signed intersection after an hour and a half. Take the right trail to the 'main summit'. From there the trail traverses for a while, you cross a large gulley then big up the trail on the other side as it starts climbing steeply up threw trees.
The trail is easy to follow pretty much all the way to the summit.
Essential Gear
Good hiking boots, maybe a walking pole as well.
