Overview

Great climb with some fun exposure.

Getting There

From the meadow at the base of Pigeon and Turret, head up a faint trail to toward the Pigeon/Turret saddle. Before reaching the saddle head west toward the north face.

Route Description

Several options. The easiest start is to hike to the lowest part of the north face. Start on easy slabs going into a couple hundred feet of mid 5th class climbing. The angle gets less steep for a few hundred feet of 4th class climbing to the ridge. Once on the ridge several options exist. The easiest appears to go along the face on the right. If you want to make it more technical (and fun) stay on the ridge as much as possible. Some really good mid 5th class climbing to the summit. Descent the normal ascent route via rappel.

Essential Gear

Set of nuts and #8 and 9 hexes.

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
