Overview

Scree Field
This route is a nice class two route that leads to the summit of Otter Mountain (12,766’). It is about 2 miles with nearly 1,600 feet of elevation gain. There is one steep section along the way, but it is no more than class 2.

You will start from Silver Dollar Lake Trailhead. From here hike north through some forest. Then head west along the trees and then cross the marsh. You will then head up to a boulder field and head east. Once you cross the boulder field start heading North up the ridge to near point 12,569'. Then it is an easy trek heading NW to Otter Mountain.

Waypoints with coordinates can be found a few sections down in the Route Description.
