This machine takes everything to extremes. The radical bend in the shaft increases reach while easily clearing bulges. The Cascade pick tapers down to 2.7mm for minimal ice displacement and superb stick. Devised specifically for steep water ice and mixed routes

If I remove the dampers on my Machines, I have the Light. I have only used them with the dampers and they climb very well. A moderately heavy head gives great stick with just the flick of a wrist. Alway plenty of clearance around the shaft. I like the clipper leashes too which are great for leading while placing a screw. I guess we like what we are used to.
