Product Description

This is a rope bag especially designed for canyoneering. The bag’s features facilitate effective rope management in the canyons. It allows the canyoneer to handle just the part of the rope she needs and to keep the rest in the bag. A stiff rim and foam-padded sides make loading the rope easy and two tie-in options allow flexibility in technique. A shoulder strap and two handles make the bag easy to carry.

Don't Leave Without It
I have the medium Rope Silo. Sure beats coiling the rope each time. The stiff rim and foam works well to provide a fixed shape for easy loading. Just tie the bottom end of the rope to the bottom tie-in point with a bowline or other secure knot and start stacking the rope into the Silo. Tie off the top end of the rope to one of the handles.

The only thing you have to watch out for on long rappels when hanging the Silo from your harness is the rope coming out of the bag with kinks.
