I've used mine on 99.9% of all my trips since I bought them back in 1999. They look like they've been through a war, and are still going strong. The tips are still very much in good shape after countless trips up rock-strewn mountains in New Hampshire, and offer excellent traction on both wet and dry rock. The twist-locks still work very well, however I sometimes have problems with one of them slipping after a few hours. I have saved far more falls than I can count with these. They are fairly lightweight, and not so expensive that I'm afraid to "break" them. They don't have the fancy cork grips (mine are plastic) and 15 degree bends in the handles like other poles, but this has not proven to be a problem (with me, anyway). I've covered up to 15 miles in a day with them (barehanded), and didn't get blisters or anything. Now, the downsides....the snow baskets were a pain in the ass to get on, and I wish they were three section poles, as I've gotten them caught on trees and rocks when scrambling and climbing. Nothing major, but mildly annoying at times. For the price, you can't beat 'em.....
