I followed the directions posted here and it worked quite well. The numbers of the forests roads on the actual signs were different than described here so pay attention. The hike was 2 miles with 1600 feet of gain from where I parked. I saw a herd of elk higher up on the peak. View were limited but still a fun hike.
This was an interesting climb. I got off the road too soon and hiked up to another ridge point to my suprise. We had to hike down that one and hike back up to peak 9004. It was a very steep hike up and down and back up again. We then Proceeded up Sitgreaves Mountain. It was the most up and down day I had in my life.
