Overview

Peak H

Peak H forms the Southern terminus of the Ripsaw Ridge. It requires the longest approach of all Ripsaw summits. Unlike its siblings Peak H's summit can be conquered without getting into Class III/IV.

Getting There

Pika

Best trailhead is Piney Lake.Get off at Exit 176 on I 70 - go west and turn on Redsandstone Rd, which turns into Piney Lake Road. Most of it is dirt road, can be a bumpy ride, but makeable for a normal sedan - just take it slow.Park outside the reserve gate to your right. Access is also possible via the Black Creek Drainage, but expect a full day of hiking (half on it on faint trails or trailless) to make it to the base of Peak H

Red Tape

West Partner and Spider

You will enter a pristine area - tread lightly and leave no trace. You will hike most of the time in the Eagle's Nest Wilderness Area - please abide to all rules and regulationsEagles Nest Wilderness Regulations

Camping

View to the West

Plenty of sspace for camping in Upper Piney Valley and in the Black Creek Draynage.

Children

Children

Children refers to the set of objects that logically fall under a given object. For example, the Aconcagua mountain page is a child of the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits.' The Aconcagua mountain itself has many routes, photos, and trip reports as children.
