Introduction

21 July 2007, two cousins and me ascended Pico Tesorero (2570 m) starting at El Cable. It was a nice day in the mountains though the mist appeared in the end of the hike. We ate a hornazo on Collado de Horcados Rojos and pushed forward to the summit. We enjoyed the views of mountains as Torre Cerredo, Torre Blanca, Peña Vieja, Naranjo de Bulnes and so many other. The final section of the ascent was somehow chaotic because we didn't know the best route to take. So we surrounded the summit piramide and climbed the SW ridge instead of ascending the east couloir (normal route). Antonio decided not to climb it but Fernando and me reached the top. Descent was so quick, we had to take the last lift.

Epilogue

I noticed that my dad and me had climbed the SW highest subsidiary summit (2482 m) in the mid 80's. That ascent was in the rain and fog.

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
