Pre Alpine Training

The whole gang together for a pre-Alps meeting on Idwal Staircase with Ged, Shaz, Slipper, Roofer and Fdoctor all in attendance.The night before had seen some pretty heavy drinking in the Eagles pub and bucketsfull of Geds home made pea and ham soup. The results were disastrous, in solid, liquid and gaseous terms. The climb was completed and we adjourned to the Plas-y-Brenin mountaineering centre in Capel Curig for an afternoons crevasse rescue practice, prussiking and Z-systems. This place is always very welcoming and always worth a visit, especially if it's hissing down. We travelled down to Llanberis for a large nosh at Pete's Eats then settled into The Eagles again for a pint or two. An excellent day out!
