Approach


1) Follow the Hot Creek drainage off-trail for 3.25 miles up into the north side bowl. OR
2) From the parking area immediately gain the steep north-south running ridge to your right (west). You'll need to go around many rock towers along the 8900 foot ridge. Drop down slightly into the north basin (3.1 miles)

Route Description


This route ascends the large wide crack on the north side

Pitch 1: Ascend the large chimney until you reach a chockstone. Exit left and out onto a face until you reach a small ledge.

Pitch 2: Ascend the face past a small tree onto a series of cracks (you choose) then into a dirty gulley to the pinnacle's summit.

Descent: Short rappel down the the ridge and walk SE to the tru summit. Take the North-South ridge north and drop down (east) into the Hot Creek drainage back to the car
