As the title suggests, this is a choose your own adventure SummitPost style. The Santa María / Santiaguito volcanic complex is a big beast with lots of different things going for it. Particularly, getting this much exposure to active volcanism is a rare thing so I wanted to share this great place in a more immersive fashion and show people what it's like to actually be there hiking around.
There are 3 routes available (see map below), one up Santa María and two at Santiaguito, each made of 6-14 photos. Click on the trail head photo below to begin, navigation is made through hyperlinks in the photo captions. (Some additions may be made in future but it's largely complete as is).
