Approach
From the Parking Lot at ADL Loj heads back to the enterance of the parking lot. The trail starts across from the toll both.
Route Description
Leaving the Toll Booth (0.0 mi.) head into the woods.
It is a short, flat walk to a road near Heart Lake, turn right and follow the sign for Mt. Jo.
At 0.3 miles the Short and Long trails split. The Shot Trail is shorte and more strenous.
The Short Trail goes through some boulders and up a gully to a sharp left turn at 0.6 miles.
The trail accends to a good view at 0.7 miles and joins the Long Trail soon after.
Turn right and reach the summit at 0.9 miles.

Basic day hike gear and snowshoes are required in winter.
