Black Rain

A beautiful day in March at Pilot Mountain. The typical crowds did not dampen our enthusiasm and the folks all cooperated so we could get in some great climbing.

Black Rain is just on the face to the right side of the ampitheater, a classic bolted face route for you sport climbers.  It is supposed to be a 5.9.  We sent it and then top roped it for the experience.

We warmed up by top roping Honey Pot, a 5.5 chimney in Three Bears Gorge, my favorite beginners route.

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
