That is a very cool mountain. Last January, when things didn't work out for me on Grassy Mountain, I headed over to Stansbury and climbed halfway up this peak. I was in about 6-8 inches of snow though. I ran out of time and didn't make it. Great pictures. I made an album of that hike. Do you care if I attach it? It's all on the west slope of this peak.

I was thinking on the way down that an ice axe would be wise if there was lots of hard snow. I'm guessing it dumps, then melts, never really getting a base?
You're right. I was completely unprepared for that much snow. An option might be to head of the southwest ridge. That looked promising and not as steep. Nice page again!
