Really nice tale that you've written here about one of the most beautiful places in Colorado! I still remember my bushwack down New York Creek - about the most epic one I can remember. Next time I was there we descended the Ruby Creek trail and I couldn't decide if it was really much easier. Anyways, nice report and some great climbs.
