Route Description
Easy hike. First part is through hemlock forests on nicely graded long switchbacks. About two thirds of the way there you start entering small clearings with short trees in pumice-filled soil. Just before the summit, you come to a meadow on your left with views of Thielsen on your right. Final few yards are on red and black cindery crags. Total distance is 3.1 miles with about 1800 feet of elevation gain.
