Solo Backpacking Trip To Truchas Peak
On August 26-27, 2016, I made a solo overnight trip to the Pecos Wilderness to hike South Truchas Peak. I used the Jack's Creek Trailhead and camped at Pecos Baldy Lake. Did not see anyone else on the hike until the second day and only after returning to camp from Truchas Peak. Had beautiful weather for the summit. I loved Trailrider's Wall.

The trail took me through a large burn area on the slopes of Pecos Baldy.

Trailriders Wall
Thought all the large cairns on Trailriders Wall were interesting. A lot of effort went into them.
