Novice climber, backpacker, adventurer, lover of the outdoors and all things wild. Fell in love with the mountains by working and skiing winters in Mammoth in the early 80's, and worked for the forest service on the John Muir trail, etc. during the summers. Worked for the park service in Denali,(can't wait to go back!), and did my share on the "slime line" in fish canneries also in AK. Now, get out into the gorge for hiking and drinking in the Northwest beauty. I'm a newb to the alpine climbing world, and take incredible, memorable and meaningful road trips every summer with my son to our glorious Nat'l Parks, turning him onto the natural world. . .
