view from Glenns Lake (Foot)

The view near the backcountry site at the foot of Glenns Lake. The massive peak with the horizontal band of snow is Mount Merritt. That snow strip wraps across standard climbing route along the northeast ridge, and may persist well into August in some years. Any parties attempting the approach from Mokowanis Lake should consider hauling ice axes to assist with this snow crossing. August 28, 2011
