From the hut we use the marked path first going in the SE direction, then it goes by the side ridge of Visoka Ponca more in the N-NE direction. The path is interesting, we move up by open terrain, overcoming a few steeper rocky sections. On some 1620 there is the first steel rope, steeper sections are also later secured. After one hour and half the path crosses the ravine, which is coming down from the notch between Visoka Ponca and Srednja Ponca and soon afterwards, 100 m higher, we reach the crossroads, on 1989 m. The right path ascends towards the summit of Srednja Ponca (and later also branches - one branch goes on the notch between the two peaks). |
