General Information
Tajumulco is Guatemala's highest peak and the highest volcano in Central America. It has two summits, one with a 50-70m and wide crater and 4,220m (13,845 feet) high. Access to Tajumulco is fairly easy. The climb up is not difficult but pay attention to the trails because there are a number of goat paths that intersect with the trail and can be confusing. The hardest part is the final push to the summit. It is fairly steep and requires scrambling over loose rock and gravel.
