Winter in the Wasatch
I'm happy to live in such proximity to the Wasatch Mountains of Utah. Leaving from my home in the Salt Lake Valley, I can be at a trailhead in one of the canyons (Millcreek, Big Cottonwood or Little Cottonwood Canyons, among others) in less than 30 minutes (even 20 minutes sometimes). I ski once in a while, but my main mode of snow travel is snowshoes. I snowshoe with the Wasatch Mountain Club sometimes, but when I go alone (and can linger) I usually have a camera.
