Cordon del Plata 2016 ExpeditionCatch the Sensation !

This album is dedicated to ALL SP members and their partners who are wearing smiles in the backcountry! Whether you are alone or in a group, I want to see your best "full-blown" smile HERE! (Not more than two photos per SP member, PLEASE!)

Roxy and Blondie

Roxy gets a headache!
"I beg of you! Please allow me to remove my "SHEEPISH" grin, so I can display a bit more enamel in my smile."

and maybe I can fly...
Liba lives her dream!

Sebastien
Sebastien's SMILE!

(Why don't you CONTRIBUTE AND/OR VOTE ? ... I WANNA SEE SPARKLES AND FIREWORKS!!!)

WARNING:

"A fake smile can make you look phony, nervous, or even dangerous, so don't just try to put on a smile without first practicing or putting yourself in a happy state of mind. Body language reflects our innermost feelings, and it's often easier to change our attitudes than to try to make our bodies communicate emotions we don't really feel."

On the summit of the Finsteraarhorn
"Fun in the Mountains."

Always happy on my favorite mountain
'Dog-Day-Delight'

Wonderful day for passing my way.
Knock on my door, even the score with your eyes.

Lovely to see you again, my friend!
Walk along with me to the next bend ...

Tell us what you've seen,
In faraway forgotten lands -
Where empires have turned back to sand.

The Moody Blues (1969)

Page-Writer's Note (01-07-2010):

"A smile is NOT a smile,
unless it wrinkles your face!"

This album belongs to all those who have the courage to smile in the mountains;
including canines,
even though there's a special place for canines HERE."

Re: I Need To Smile More

Either that, or Doctor Phil needs to pay you a visit! I thought
you had heard the song, "Keep On Smilin,' by Wet Willie. Keep on practicing! I feel you are about to reach "enlightenment" soon!!!
"Well you say you got the blues,
Got holes in both of your shoes?
Feelin' alone and confused,
You gotta keep on smilin'!

Keep on smilin' through the rain, laughin' at the pain,
Rollin' with the changes 'till the sun comes out again!"

Re: Thanks for the smiles

I am THANKING you, and YOU are thanking me! - Sounds like a
"Burma Shave" commercial. Actually, this is the truth and power
of the mountains. It is up to us to find BALANCE; and if we put
on a smile, it's to our advantage. Keep it going, PLEASE!!! : - )

Re: Dear Ivona

No problema ... is Spanish for "no problem!" I had a time of
choosing or picking between ALL of your wonderful pictures!
Here is song lyrics (for you) from American artist:
"There you stood on the edge of your feather,
Expecting to fly.
While I laughed, I wondered whether ...
I could wave goodbye."

Best regards to you, Ivona! Keep on smilin'!!!

Re: Awesome:)

Not a problem, Sara. If you haven't yet, I suggest you check
out Pinnicles Nat'l Monument. When I worked there in 1996, it
was pretty awesome. Some great climbing walls, California Condors
flying overhead, hiking trails, clean restrooms, that sort of thing! Thank you for the contribution and keep on smilin'!!!

Re: Nice...

Yes, but there has to be a mountain in the background. You have to
be smiling, and actually HAVING a smile on a mountain counts, but
only 95.9% of the time. And, this is only on Sundays. Also ...
YES, a very cool idea! Thank you very much. :) - Larry

Re: Nice...

Indeed, a good album. Hey, you have no idea how hard I was trying to smile there. I had the most excruciating altitude headache ever and I could literally feel the capillaries bursting!

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
