Women of SummitPost

Introduction

The Women of SummitPost photo album is a celebration of SP's female members. In a sport that is more heavily practiced by men it's great to see some women climbers here on SP. This album is a collection of photos of women hiking, climbing and creatively expressing themselves in the great outdoors. You can keep an eye on what they are doing in the climbing world through this album, and through their personal profiles which are linked through their photos.

Feel free to add your own photos. The only criteria is that it must be of a female SP member and climbing related (outdoor photos only). If anyone objects to their photo appearing in this album, just let me know and I will remove it immediately.

The signature photo for this album will be updated periodically as a way to spotlight different members. Generally, only active contributing members (recent login with more than 0 points) will be selected for the signature photo.

Be honest, being a red-blooded male, what do you prefer to look at? some anorexic model? or a nice lassie having fun doing that what we all like???

Nice Album

Thanks for added me to the list although I don’t consider myself a very photogenic person :) You should attach Shirley to the album since she is one of the best climbers on SP.

I like this, but...

but you better get prepared for all the bad PMs you're going to get. We had one of these albums a while back and the owner finally grew weary of all the attacks and deleted it. Hope that doesn't happen again.

I have seen the "for men to drool over" comment earlier in another connnection. It is quite ridiculous and makes me wonder where you come from. If men want to drool there are certainly other websites more likely to make them do so. Moreover, should SP be so PC that it couldn't have an album like this? Rubbish!

...for the top right corner as page profile photo. I appreciate the action shots of the other women, but I'm a bit disagreeable with the portrait face shots....not to hip on SP being viewed as a dating service. :)

The album is not intended to be a dating service, nor is it exclusively for hardcore climbing photos, but something in between the two polar opposites. There are some awesome climbing shots in it for sure, but there are also a few humorous shots, and other photos of women creatively expressing themselves in the mountains. It's my intention to keep out photos that most people would consider inappropriate. That of course comes down to judgement, and everyone will not always agree.

BTW, you have some great photos in this album. What are you doing Friday night?

Personally, I think it's a good album. If someone gets a date out of it then all well and good for them!
