Overview

Emmaline Spire
Seen from Emmaline Lake

Getting There

Park at the Emmaline Lake trailhead. Hike about 5.5 miles to Emmaline Lake. Choose the path of least resistance to the base of the ridgeline.

Route Description

Ascend the ridge, scrambling over nicely consolidated rocks (3rd with some 4th class) till you reach a ledge at the base of a short and steep headwall. Ascend just to the right of the headwall overcoming several easy but exposed 5th class moves till one meets the summit ridge. Continue on the narrow summit ridge, through some loose rock, to reach the plateau.

Essential Gear

Approach shoes/Mountaineering boots. A light rack and rope if you need it to be safe/comfortable.

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
