Approach

Follow the directions in the "Getting There" section of the main page. This trail is the main trail over the ridge to the summit when departing from the visitors center.

Route Description

This trail is one mile long with 321 feet of elevation gain and is one of the most scenic in PA when it comes to views. You will have seven vistas at your fingertips culminating at the summit or North Lookout. This is probably the best view in the entire state of Pennsylvania. Another little side-trip is the 'Sunset Rocks" and "Slide". The trail is rocky like other places in the region, but it is well maintained. Enjoy this beautiful ridge-walk and look for the raptors.

Essential Gear

Comfortable hiking shoes and a camera.

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
