Saddle Mountain

We, my son & I, started about 8:30am. After about an hour drive we found the trail is closed! The sign stated that about a mile up there is a slide. We decided to go up & have a look. There are about a dozen big trees, a couple looked to be 30", had criss-crossed the trail about every quarter mile. It took some climbing over or crawling under but we got through all right. The slide has wiped out about 3 swutch-backs but we proceeded on. It was very icy but we didn't have to put our cramp-ons on. There were some pretty strong wind gusts but the view was great! I'll post a couple of pictures.
