Overview
The easiest route up Moolack starts in a hidden and scenic alpine basin frequented by mountain goats and little else. Both Baron Peak and Moolack can be accessed from the basin.
South Slopes (Class 2-3)- from the beautiful basin south of the peak, slog up scree laden slopes to just under the summit block. The nature of the rock is more solid at this point for the last 200 feet. Find a narrow slot on the west side (Class 3) of the peak, or traverse counter-clockwise to a Class 3-4 rib on the east side of the summit block. The east rib is solid, but exposed whereas the west side slot is more loose, but only Class 3.
