Many peaks listed here are at the boundary of Kootenay National Park. For these peaks, the only routes mentioned are those on the Kootenay side.

The most recent guidebooks pertaining to Western Canada (The Waddington Guide, Selkirks South, Selkirks North, Alpine Select) having adopted the Alpine Grading System, this grading system has been preferred here to the NCC one (also known as “Roman numeral grade”). Rock climbing difficulty is indicated in both UIAA (International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation) grades and Yosemite Decimal System.
